In September 1945 in Troyan Elma was established an electro technical cooperation with a subject of activity: repair of household appliances. Later it began to produce electric motors. In 1949 the electro technical cooperation became a state enterprise. In 1997 ELMA AD - Troyan was privatized, with majority owner AKB-FORES INDUSTRIAL CONCERN. Elma AD manufactures: single-phase induction motors with squirrel-cage rotor for universal application with power from 0,16 kW up-to 2,2 kW, speed-3000 rpm and 1500 rpm on customers' special requirements Single-phase induction 2-speed motors for automatic washing machines Single-phase motors with power 1/2 HP and 1/3 HP for ordinary washing machines Three-phase induction motors with squirrel-cage rotor for universal application with power from 0,26 kW up to 11,0 kW with electromagnetic or rotor brake Frameless motors for lawn mowers, shredders, concrete mixers, washing machines and others, with or without built-in rotor brake with power from 120 W up to 1600 W Single-phase induction generators and generating sets with power 1,5 kW, 2,0 kW, 3,0 kW, 5,2 kW Three-phase induction generators and generating sets with power 4,0 kW and 6,0 kW Electric pumps-one and two inches Elaborate tool equipment for the electro technical industry Electric motors developed on the clients' request
